[squad:plan] Tidekeeper: tide-timing harbor puzzle game plan #70511
Tidekeeper is a small turn-based puzzle game. Each level is a harbor with a rising and falling tide. The player moves a lone keeper along piers and mudflats, and shifts sluice gates, to guide drifting boats to their moorings before the tide cycle ends.
Core loop
Read the tide chart (a visible 6-step cycle).
Place or toggle up to N gates and ropes.
Press "Run tide" and watch a deterministic simulation play out.
Boats that reach a mooring score. Retry or advance.
Target platform
Browser (HTML5 canvas, TypeScript), deployed to static hosting. Mobile and desktop input.
Art/style
Flat-colour paper-cut harbor, a muted teal and sand palette, and soft animated water layers. Pixel-snapped UI icons.
Minimum viable feature set
Tide simulation with water levels 0-3
Boats, gates and ropes
12 handcrafted levels
Undo/reset and a run-replay slider
Local-only progress save
Milestones
M1 Prototype: tide and boat simulation, gate placement, one level.
M2 Vertical slice: 4 levels, art pass, tutorial.
M3 Playable demo: 12 levels, polish, deploy.
