Six tests need login records and read them from the runner's /var/log/wtmp. The ubuntu-latest runners moved to Ubuntu 26.04, where that file holds none, so test_last, test_limit_arg and test_timestamp_format_short have failed on every CI run since, and the full, iso and notime format tests pass without checking a record. All six now read last.input.1, which the --since, --until and --hostlast tests already use, so they no longer depend on the host.

CI has failed on
mainand every PR since the ubuntu-latest runners moved to Ubuntu 26.04. On that image/var/log/wtmpholds no login records, sotest_last,test_limit_argandtest_timestamp_format_shortfail, and thefull,isoandnotimeformat tests pass without checking one. All six now read thelast.input.1fixture, which the--since,--untiland--hostlasttests already use.The Ubuntu failure has cancelled the macOS and Windows test jobs on every run since, so they get their first full run here.
